Did you just get into Rocket Racing? Well, we've got some bad news. Two Xbox games are set to have their servers shut down across October and November 2026, and one of them is a big one for all Xbox consoles.
That game is Rocket Racing, the racing game available inside Fortnite. It's a mix of Rocket League and traditional racing, and it's been a fun little diversion for many. But mark your calendars: on October 1st, 2026, the servers will officially go offline. Once that happens, you won't be able to play it in any form. That's right, no more Rocket Racing at all. Boo indeed.
The other game affected is only for the Xbox One, so if you're on a newer console, you might not be impacted. But for those still rocking the Xbox One, it's worth noting. Unfortunately, the source doesn't specify which game it is, but we'll keep you posted as we learn more.
As we rapidly approach October, it's a good reminder that online games don't last forever. Server shutdowns are a sad reality of the gaming world, and they can happen to any game. So if you're still enjoying Rocket Racing or that other mystery Xbox One title, now's the time to hop in and make the most of it.
Fortunately, this is a very small list as things stand. Only two games are set to be affected across October and November, which is a far cry from the mass shutdowns we sometimes see. Still, it's always a bummer when a game you love goes offline.
