先前就有传闻指称，Google Pixel 将与三星（Samsung）合作，一同打造可折叠的 Pixel 手机 Pixel Fold；只不过，Google 的野心可能不仅于让手机折一折，也想卷一卷变成卷轴手机 Pixel Roll。
根据调研机构 DSCC 首席执行官 Ross Young 在 Twitter 爆料，“Pixel Roll 的滑轮轴承设计得很漂亮，但接下来 12 个月内不会看到它推出。”因 Ross Young 时常爆料一些尚未推出的产品，从这段贴文可看出，Google 的确正在规划 Pixel Roll。

折叠手机 Pixel Fold 方面，有许多传闻指称，这款可折叠的 Pixel 手机最快将在 2021 年底推出。

目前为止市场都尚未传出 Pixel Fold 或 Pixel Roll 价格资讯；再者，无论 Pixel Fold 或 Pixel Roll 都仅是暂定名称，目前也尚未传出 Google 确切命名资讯。
不管 Pixel Fold 或 Pixel Roll，推出后都得面临激烈的市场竞争。折叠手机方面，三星、华为、小米都推出对应产品；至于卷轴手机，OPPO 也推出 OPPO X 2021 概念机种，虽然目前尚未得知 OPPO 这款手机何时上市，但证明卷轴手机早有先行者了。
